FOR CLINICIANS

Your patient is using Companion. Here’s what that means.

Companion helps people prepare for visits, remember what was discussed and keep track of next steps without requiring you to change systems or create another clinician account.

01

Patient-side

The patient owns the Companion account and decides when to record and what to share.

02

No EHR dependency

The consumer experience does not need access to your clinical systems to work.

03

Source-grounded

Visit memories are designed to reflect the recorded conversation rather than create new clinical recommendations.

WHAT THE PATIENT GETS

A clearer memory of the conversation.

Companion is meant to reduce the gap between what was discussed in the room and what the patient remembers afterwards.

A concise recap

Plain-language organization of the visit rather than a replacement clinician note.

Next steps

Tasks are shown only when supported by a clinician statement or an agreed plan in the transcript.

Timepoints

Follow-up intervals and reminders that were actually mentioned during the visit.

Ask about the visit

Transcript-grounded answers that say when the conversation did not contain the requested information.

QUICK FAQ

The questions clinicians ask first.

Is Companion part of my EHR?+

No. Companion is a patient-side consumer product. Nothing enters your EHR automatically. If a patient shows or shares information and you decide it matters clinically, your normal documentation process still applies.

Does it record automatically?+

No. The patient must actively start each recording. We tell users to follow applicable recording law and local clinic policy and to tell participants before recording.

Does it require IT integration?+

No. Companion works independently of a hospital or clinic system. A patient can show information on their own device or create a time-limited share without an EHR integration.

What does the patient see?+

A transcript-grounded visit memory: a recap, key topics, clinician-stated points, next steps, reminders and medication mentions where the conversation supports them. The original transcript remains available for checking context.

Does Companion give medical advice?+

The current product boundary is capture, organization, memory and sharing. Its AI preparation flow is instructed not to diagnose, triage, recommend tests or recommend treatment, and Ask about this visit is limited to what the transcript says.
